We're super excited to announce that we just released a new integration with Facebook Timeline!
Now, you will be able to see what your friends are watching on Facebook, share what you're watching, and discover great new content on Ustream with friends.
How do you do this? With our easy to use "Ustream Social" feature.
You'll notice by going to Ustream today that there's a new Social On/Off switch right at the top. Flip this handy switch on to turn on Ustream Social and reap the benefits.
Now, whenever you watch a channel or video on Ustream, you'll be able to add it to your Facebook Timeline! Check it out.
Now, you can see your videos right on your Facebook Timeline.
Sharing with your Facebook Timeline is always completely optional. You can choose which videos you want to share, and how often. Remember, although we help you share, we value your privacy and want to give you as much control as possible. Hence, you can remove shares from your Facebook Timeline any time. In addition, you can use Ustream privately any time just by switching off Ustream Social. Plus, Facebook has its own privacy settings where you can set Ustream's permissions level.
We are super excited about this new integration, and we have some super cool features coming up, so we're psyched to share those with you soon. In the meantime, happy sharing!

did you fix the issue about not being to use it for fan pages you are the admin for?-
Would love to know if this is possible too. I also want to know if you can host/embed someone elses stream on your fan page.

@SpeedZoneNJ - unfortunately this is an issue we know about but don't have a solution for at this time. The development team is aware so hopefully we'll have a solution for this soon. Please stay tuned - and we apologize for the inconvenience not having this feature is causing you!
@Kumi Rauf - this is another "unfortunately" response - Facebook used to allow this on the Fan Pages but no longer does, so we aren't able to help with that, it's on Facebook's side that they removed the ability to embed Ustream videos on the Fan Page wall, or to have the Ustream app selected as the first tab instead of having the user select the Ustream tab to see the videos you've put on your page.
The GOOD news is that you can put any videos you want on your Fan Page, yours or someone else's, by following these steps:
1. Log into your Facebook Fan Page
2. Click on the Ustream app
3. Log in using your Ustream username and password
4. Select "Use Someone Else's Channel"
5. Enter the URL of the channel you want to put on your Fan Page and select "Put on Page"
6. Go to your page and click on the Ustream Live app logo where you should now see the Ustream channel video

Okay, please see my comment to you right before this one with a link to my how-to guide to remove the video library from your Ustream app. That sounds like it will achieve what you need, so just one video is showing, not the list of all the videos the user has.

I don't buy it. All we're talking about is being able to select which email is connected to the Social stream for the purpose of posting comments during live broadcasts. The USTV app only has to let you type in your FB user name and then let FB verify the user that's all. I think your making this way more complicated than it has to be. It's not about FB allowing you to post/broadcast others videos. It's about being able to correctly connect the USTV channel to a biz fan page so comments about the broadcast show on the FB fan page. A simple sign-in option for admins of FB fan pages would do the trick. If you can't do that, then how about letting the registered owner of the USTREAM channel use their email to connect to their FB fan page? Before you trumpet a new feature you should understand it's limitations and be willing to keep pace with the services you connect to. The concept of admins for FB Fans pages is not that new and is growing as small business turns to others to manage their social footprint.- view 1 more comment

Forgive me if I don't use the right terminology but I have a question that relates to this issue and I think you might be able to help. My ustream account is connected to my Facebook account and it IS showing up on my Fan Page which is where I want it so everything is good there. The only problem is when ustream posts that I am broadcasting, the post is made to my personal account and not to my fan page. It shows my name highlighted when I check out the Facebook connection and I just want to edit that portion to use my fan page. Is that possible?

can i use this for interviews . is it possible to have someone connect via ustrem from there cam in california to my stream here in texas . make sense? Is this possible im trying to find out for my business and i heard you have a great customer service

Hi Kenny484 - It sounds like you are asking how to use a Ustream broadcast for an interview, and not our Ustream Facebook app. Am I understanding correctly? If so please post your question in a new topic so we can help you further.

(also) What happened to play button that used to play a video directly on facebook and was on all videos if you shared it now you have to click a link an be redirected to ustream can this be fixed.

It seems that FB ended the play button in apps for everything..( now a third party partner does this tabbing ) I now JUST copy my ustream player page URL, and then paste it into my FB fan page timeline & my personal FB timeline..Works fine for me, so far..
