Content Restrictions issue?

I have a web site that I created in www.wix.com and have an embedded code from ustream on in which was working fine for about a month then all of a sudden a warning appears saying :""we cannot play this video due to content restrictions" WIX is saying its not them actually they said that ustream was restricting the code to wix. IS THAT POSSIBLE?

I had a similar issue that just started today.

I found it was due to the embed restrictions setup on our PRO account. I had added the http://www.example.com but needed to add http://example.com. This had been working fine for the last couple of months, but for some reason broke today.

Hello All,

Ustream does not support embedding content through certain URLs. One of these cases is Wix where the URL is embedded through: http://www.flashquix.com. If you use a third party service to build your website you may actually be embedding through a domain other than the domain of your actual website.

A few workarounds would be to:
-Embed through a different domain or talk to your webmaster.
-Post your channel URL to your Facebook page. You could then like to your Facebook Page.
-Setup a page/blog with a different service like Worldpress where you could embed your channel or video.
-Direct people to your channel at ustream.tv. Viewers will also get the added benefits of chat and Social Stream

  This shouldn't be turned off after it is allowed to work for years, I see, for some people. It has working for a few months for us and we just got disabled and need this for an event for tomorrow night. And this is not a good explanation as for why this was disabled. It says it's not supported, which means that it should be allowed, but no help is offered.

Well, that must be quite a recent development, because our website (www.caribcelebsradio.com) has been successfully providing live streams and recordings through flashquix for nearly two years... until a week ago.

Max has admitted to changing this embedd ability. They are suggesting work arounds for your viewers. So I'm thinking I need to look for a new video stream, maybe Live stream or something. Has anyone tried any others services.

I'm getting the same thing on FB now. It wasn't like this a few days ago. I even added FB to the list of sites able to embed. The funny thing is that this only happens to the default video. When you click that SAME video in the "Recent Broadcast" sidebar in FB, it plays it just fine. I don't think this makes a lot of sense.

  I have one solution for you. If your web is from wix.com you can do a new web in htmll that they have. Put de tv channel in this new web and just put a botton with the new link. See my web www.NoticiasDeTodoUnPoco.com i did it and is working.
  I hope you can doit to.

Ustream is not being consistent with respect to which embed URLs are allowed and which are disallowed. From the documentation, it appears all URLs are allowed.

Clearly there is some code on the Ustream servers which is restricting the embedding. I imagine this is a security precaution (e.g. embed URL domain must match HTTP request domain or similar), but the implementation does not work fully.

Please remove this restriction until is can be coded correctly.

Clearly this is a ploy to get people to pay for the service. No solutions have been offered but to direct your listeners or viewers back to ustream for the Added benefits that max mentioned...the Ads....Basically.....the only Solution is to switch services, This is part of Ustreams plan to get people to pay for this. When i first came here few years ago, they didnt play any ads...no you see ads almost all through the broadcast, and it will only get worst.....Njoy

Wix have sites in htlm now you can do an extension of your website and put the embed ther like a new link i did it in my website on wix and it work. My website is www.noticiasdetodounpoco.com the first page is in flahs and the link is in htlm

Para quienes hablan espanol yo tengo mi pagina en flash tambien y con wix.com lo que hice fue agregar un link del nuevo formato html que tiene wix y le puse el embded y funciona perfectamente
veanlo en mi website www.noticiasdetodounpoco.com y haganlo para seguir teniendo su web como les gusta en flash.

We have 3 cams only one has:
"Sorry! We cannot play this video due to content restrictions"
So it is not our web host. The only thing we could think of was
to switch it to a new Ustream account. I will check back to see
if it is resolved or if anyone else has any better ideas.

We have been running this cam for 4 years, and average
100 viewers this time of day, we have 15, really sad.

  Right after I posted this all three went down.

  All three cams are/were on the same page.
  I called the host Yahoo and they said since when you click on the ok button that it brings one to Ustream, then it is not from Yahoo. Anything anyone can think of would be great, our followers are very not happy :( Thank you!

  Hi Max, We put the cams at our other web site and it worked so the old code should be fine, and works much better. Then we took that and put it at the site in an iFrame and now the cams are working again at least but something is still blocking the stream going to our web page.

  We spoke to our host Yahoo, and they said the content is not being blocked by them. We don't use anyone to build our site. And have tried all of the help ideas above. So not sure what to do. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.
