I want to change the thumbnail image displayed for my recorded videos! Vote here!

Edit Subject

Have you noticed that a thumbnail image was chosen automatically for your recorded video, but you don't like what was chosen?

Unfortunately at this time Ustream does not support the ability to choose the screenshot you'd like to use for your recorded videos, but if you'd like to see this feature developed vote for it here!

We love ideas from our users and pay attention to what you're voting for, so please let us know!

This is definitely needed!!! - Some thumbnails don't really look well -- I was horrified the other day at the thumbmail picked and that I could not change it - Youtube - Daily Motion and countless others - Why not Ustream?

I would really like to be able to change the thumbnail. I produce a music program with performing songwriters. Usually, the "system" picks a thumbnail of the performer or both of us. But, I use videos doing the show, and sometimes the "system" picks a screenshot from one of the videos, and it usually does not relate to the show.

I think better the thumbnail at least would represent the content of the broadcast
or help us to recognize its topics

iBWebcast here,

Just a suggestion on the thumbnail -
when I pre-produce a live webcast for the State of CA, I will produce one or more slides - for the off-air slideshow - and that covers the pre-post channel video "thumbnail" needs.
The hack part comes when I open the channel for the show and "broadcast/record" video of the same slide or slides for a few minutes. I then let the recorded video become the featured video on the channel (removing the off-air slide show).
At least the channel has a thumbnail of your design for that particular webcast.

It has worked well enough - but I agree with the crowd here - control of the thumbnail would be a value add for the content generators and those seeking that warm and fine tuned pixel uStream.tv experience!

We'd love to see some thumbnail control. Some of the default thumbnails are depressing and take away from the tone we're trying to set.
