Do you keep accidentally forgetting to hit the "Start Recording" button, or forget to save your recording after it's finished, and come to find the live broadcast you aired is no longer available?
Unfortunately, and frustratingly for our users, this frequently happens. If you'd like us to develop a "safety net" to avoid this from happening to you, please vote for it here!
We love getting feedback from our users and want to know what would make Ustream better for YOU!
In the meantime, please make sure that if you want to keep your broadcasts, to hit the "Start Recording" button, and SAVE your recording when you're done. And, as always, download a backup to your computer to protect that content.
To learn how to record, save and download your videos, check out our awesome step-by-step guides here:

Thanks for using Ustream!
Live broadcasts should be auto-archived in case I forgot to push "record" or "save" *Vote here!*

more so than that its a feature that could save lives, i would also vote to say that the mobile broadcast software should never have a "delete from site" function and thus require people to login to the site manually to delete, for the same interest of peoples safety

YES!!! This is something that should be in your package! Even if it only keeps the video for a few days... giving the person the option to save permanently or discard after a period of time... I use Wirecast Pro and I have to launch the ustream dashboard and click Start Record.. and if I got really really busy, or the the show starts early... I sometimes forget and then remember... and I loose the first few minutes of a show. Producers have enough to remember as it is...

yes it is needed badly... police are deleting peoples broadcast and not saving them... this should have been a feature from the start

Idea:
While video is being recorded, simultaneously it is being uploaded to ustream and saved real time.
Also uploaded video should be protected from deleting through mobile phone
This way police cannot delete evidence
Please make this option asap! -

If you want to be best you have to care and protect users from any danger of losing their videos. Asking this question shows that you are having hard time to realise what is important to peop

please do this, or at least add an option to our dashboards to auto archive every broadcast! I was recording a cop who was harassing some friends and the cop grabbed my phone and dashed it to the ground before I could hit record! He then walked off laughing. There should also be an option to record to the phone's chip at the same time you are streaming (unless it would bog the phones cpu down too much.) The memory card in my phone was still intact after he smashed it.

we hit "Start Record" but realized until afterwards that it was not recording. :p

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!
ADD automatic SAVE! Why I need to confirm saving of LIVE broadcast?!?
If it was LIVE there are already a lot of people who watched it!
Asking for SAVE must be an option in the MENU! By default it must be turned OFF
and ALL VIDEOS MUST BE SAVED AUTOMATICALLY to the channel !
ALSO videos must be saved automatically in case of connection lost / zero battery / etc!
You have a great service but this "save your video" are REALLY DUMB! -

Yes please add it if you really support live streamers who promote ustream all the time. Be kind please!

Yes! I think this should be standard operating procedure.

I have been trying forever to figure out how to auto record my live broadcasts using my batch auto launch script below, so I would never have to interact with the computer. This would solve it since the laptop is being used by the power point team at church at the same time.

Not a good idear.
Some contents are only meant to be on air but not meant to be recorded. -
-
@floridalottery thats why it sould be a feature you can CHOOSE to have on or not. it could save lives.
