Ustream app won't load on Nexus 7 - Android v 4.1
Ustream app crashes on startup when running on Android v4.1 Nexus 7.

I have this same problem only just started happening with my new GSM Google Nexus. Updated to 4.1 Jellybean and now the app does not work. Bummer!

theshadowfan, Nicholas Stees and UpstateNYSynod,
Thank you for reporting this.
I have confirmed this and alerted the team that develops the Android App. When I have more information on an update to the Ustream App to resolve this I will post it here. -

The app *still* seems to not work at all on the new Nexus 7. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling a few time, including just a few minutes ago, and when I attempt to open the application it just says "Unfortunately, Ustream has stopped."

I am also getting this error on my Motorola Xoom after the 4.1.1 update

Thank you, it now loads, but says I have no supported camera in my Nexus 7. I know the camera works because of Skype.

As jdgonnafly said I too cannot get the Nexus 7 camera to work with the Ustream app.

jdgonnafl and theshadowfan,
You should now be able to watch content on Jellybean 4.1. I was able to replicate the camera error on the Nexus 7 and have forwarded it to your Engineering Team for review. I will post any updates on this thread. -

I would like to be able to stream from my Nexus 7 (JB 4.1) but it still does not see the camera.

I bought a Google Nexus 7, instead of iPad, so that I could view my favorite UStream channel. But it broadcasts in Flash, which J4.1.1 will not run. When I try to load Flash plugin I get an ominous message that it may harm my device. What can be done? Please? Thank you.

I think everyone on this thread have downloaded the android ustream app. It does work for at least some people.

Ustream works for me too, just not apparently for channels broadcasting in Flash. On those--which includes the most important one to me--I just get the error "Looking for plugin" and the plugin, Adobe Flash, is not supported in 4.1.1 Jellybean. It's so frustrating.

Nexus 7 camera not supported
Will not broadcast. I cannot go to settings or account. I get ustream stopped working. -
-
I do wish that some brilliant techy would fix this. It's been way to long in coming.

It also is not working for me. I have a Nexus 7 running 4.1.2 and I'm trying to watch streams from CreativeLive.com and all I get is 3 seconds of Video and this is goes into a Buffering 0% and hangs there. Also the Ustream Wifi only apps will not launch and never has worked on this device.

Mine stop working the last update to 4.2. It's installed on a nexus 7

Sorry if this is a double post. I have a Nexus 7 running Android 4.2. Video crashes about 1 second in. Haven't tried camera.

So ustream has known about this issue on the nexus 7 for over 4 months, what gives?
Can I has a solution? -

The problem that is experiencing Manafest-it, is the same that I'm experiencing with my Nexus 7 tablet.
Can somebody from Ustream staff give us an update of what is happening and when it is going to be fixed?
Thanks! -

I think (or should it be hopeful) that the update that came out today (05 Dec) solved the issue with the Nexus 7 combined with the 4.2 Android update.

-
The new USTREAM App update from today appears to have resolved my Nexus 7 issues. Thanks guys! (The programmers)
