EMPLOYEE0I see that you want to broadcast the output from a computer that is going into a projector. Using Producer and Desktop Presenter would be a solution to this issue.
I am assuming that the speaker has a laptop and they are giving a presentation. They then have their computer connected to a projector to show their slides.
We have links to download Producer and Desktop presenter here:
The setup would be something like this:
-The speaker's computer and your computer would be on the same network
-The speaker would have Desktop Presenter installed on their computer
-Then you launch Desktop Presenter and select the speaker's computer as a "shot" in Producer.
-You woud have Producer setup on your computer and would be broadcasting the speakers computer screen to your Ustream Channel.
What are your plans for audio?
Hi Max. Thank you for answer.
When I am broadcasting it can be, let say two or three different persons who is acting speakers. Sometimes we use a VGA-switch. Sometime somebody use an iPad.
Everything goes to the projector.
I think the solution for me, if possible, should be to grab the video from the projector because of the VGA OUTPUT.
Today I can take the video from VGA OUTPUT to a screen and pick it up with a webcam Logitech C910, but...
I knew about wifi-net and screensharing but there is no time. And I want to have full control over whats happening.
I have connected a sound-mixer to line-in and pick up the sound with a mic.
There is never sound to pick up from the speakers computers. (So far).
Hi again Max!
After my replay I start to think.
Did you mean that if there is lets say two (or more) different speakers who have Desktop Presenter in their computers, and we are i the same network, I can make two different "shots" and they can be connected to me all the time, and I can switch between them in Producer?
EMPLOYEE0You could do that:
Have Your computer hooked up to the projector. You would then run Producer Pro on your computer and connect to each Speaker/presenter who is using Desktop Presenter. You would have to switch between the different presenter.
You will need Producer Pro to have multiple presenters connected at once. You can test the demo to make sure it fits your needs before you buy though.
Interesting problem and good solution proposed by Max to use Desktop Presenter .I have a similar problem. I'm currently broadcasting with 2 cams. One covers live action( video + audio) and the second broadcasts just the video from an LCD screen, I want to improve the quality of the LCD video (it's actually showing a computer screen output). I though if I took the VGA output from the PC and used a vga to usb converter in place of the usb camera it might work. I'm concerned about usb bandwith since I have a multi- cam set-up and the one I'm replacing only used 10% now.
So question is can you broadcast the VGA to usb via Ustream and any idea of bandwidth hit?
